Meet the artist

Adri Bru

Colombian and Italian. My creative practice moves across different languages: design, ceramics, and painting. The medium may change, but the impulse remains the same: to give form to something that did not exist before.

My work is born from improvisation and trust in the gesture. I work without sketches or predetermined plans, allowing my hand to move freely until I discover characters I did not know before I began.

I do not draw what I see. I discover what was waiting to appear.

Each line preserves the energy of the moment in which it was created: the uncertainty, the impulse, the accident, and the decision. I do not seek perfection in the line, but honesty. It is within this freedom that I find my language and my characters acquire identities of their own.

In my process, line, colour, and material coexist. Spontaneous marks and expansive fields of colour open new paths, allowing each figure to emerge freely, without a preconceived image determining the result.

Each work is an encounter with the unexpected. A unique piece, born without predetermined answers and created to preserve the unrepeatable emotion of that moment.

Every line is a path. Every face, a story.
